Aging Well System Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • To ensure the smooth operation of the Aging Well programs
  • Supervise Homemaking and Chore Providers

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Associates degree or related work experience
  • General knowledge of Aging Well Programs and knowledge of DHS Homemaking and Chore standards.
  • 1-3 years of clerical experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of filing and other standard general office procedures
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Ability to work with the public
  • Proof of valid driver’s license and current/adequate vehicle insurance coverage

 

Preferred

  • Demonstrated understanding of diverse backgrounds and cultures

Manages the following positions:

Homemaking & Chore Provider; Lead Chore Maintenance Provider

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the overall management of the Home Care and Repair Program.
  • Implements support services for maintaining the recruitment, application and enrollment system throughout the year.
  • Monitor, review, evaluate and interpret client records and other vital service data to prepare necessary reports.
  • Schedule and monitor the progress of all jobs.
  • Identify community resources and link clients to appropriate resources when needed.
  • Record all incident reports and follow up when necessary. Report all information to supervisor on matters concerning vulnerable adult.
  • Train new staff and monitor staff continued education.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining various vehicles for communicating with staff, clients and the public.
  • Participate in outreach efforts i.e. expos, fairs and aging well events.
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems, unusual or extraordinary matters of significance coming to his/her attention, so that prompt corrective action can be taken as needed.
  • Complete purchase orders and submit timely reports for client invoicing.
  • Assisting homemaking and chore providers with projects as needed.
  • Manage the program safety policies, procedures and trainings.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
