Pope County Low-Income Representative Needed to Fill WCMCA Board Vacancy
West Central Minnesota Communities Action, Inc. is seeking candidates interested in running for election to the Board of Directors of the Agency. This seat provides a representative for the low-income sector of Pope County and is up for election now. The Board of Director’s is 15 members, 1/3 Public Officials (commissioners), 1/3 Public Sector members (business), and 1/3 low-income representative members. Membership consists of one of each of these categories from each of the core counties WCMCA, Inc. serves: Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens and Traverse Counties.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Pope County
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- While candidates do not need to be low-income themselves, they must be able to effectively represent the interests and needs of the low-income community
Interested candidates should contact Missy Becker-Cook to request a Nominee Data Sheet, which must be completed and submitted to the agency by June 20th, 2025. Following this, secret ballots will be mailed to low-income clients in Pope County.
