About the Program
Need help with rising grocery costs?
Many Minnesotans struggle to afford groceries, especially with rising food costs. WCMCA’s SNAP Outreach services can help you apply for and access benefits to support your household’s nutrition needs.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) provides monthly benefits to help income-eligible households purchase food.
WCMCA offers free, confidential assistance to help you:
- Apply for SNAP benefits
- Recertify or renew your benefits
- Understand eligibility requirements
- Troubleshoot issues with your case

- Eligibility screening
- Troubleshooting case issues or delays
- Referrals to local food shelves and other community resources
Eligibility Information
SNAP is available to income-eligible individuals and families living in Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Traverse counties.
Eligibility guidelines are set by the state and updated regularly.

Applications are available in several ways:
- In person at our office
- By phone with assistance of WCMCA, if transportation is unavailable
